The Michigan State Housing Development Authority is accepting Section 8 Housing Choice Voucher waiting list applications for Alcona, Alger, Allegan, Alpena, Antrim, Arenac, Baraga, Barry, Benzie, Berrien, Branch, Calhoun, Cass, Charlevoix, Cheboygan, Chippewa, Clinton, Crawford, Delta, Dickinson, Emmet, Gladwin, Gogebic, Grand Traverse, Gratiot, Hilldale, Houghton, Ionia, Iosco, Iron, Isabella, Kalkaska, Keweenaw, Lake, Leelanau, Lenawee, Livingston, Luce, Mackinac, Manistee, Marquette, Mason, Mecosta, Menominee, Missaukee, Montcalm, Montmorency, Newaygo, Oceana, Ogemaw, Ontonagon, Osceola, Oscoda, Otsego, Presque Isle, Roscommon, Schoolcraft, Shiawassee, St. Joseph, Van Buren and Wexford County from March 22, 2023 at 11:00 am, until April 5, 2023 at 11:00 am ET

Please note: According to the MSHDA, "You may only apply to one county waiting list"

To apply during the opening period, complete the online application

This waiting list has the following preferences:

• Homeless County of Application Residency (Applicant who is homeless and is living or working in the county of application)
• Disabled County of Application Residency (Applicant who is disabled and is living or working in the county of application)
• County of Application Residency (Applicant who is living or working in the county of application)
• Disabled Michigan Residency (Applicant who is disabled, is not living or working in the county of application, but is living or working in Michigan)
• Michigan Residency (Applicant who is not living or working in the county of application, but is living or working in Michigan)
• Disabled Out of state Residency (Applicant who is disabled but is not living or working in Michigan)
• Out of state Residency (Applicant who is not living or working in Michigan)

Selected applicants will be placed on the waiting list by date and time the application is received, weighed by order of preferences
