Broward County, Floirda Mainstream Section 8 Housing Choice Voucher Waiting List

The Broward County Housing Authority (BCHA) Mainstream Section 8 Housing Choice Voucher waiting list is currently closed. It was last open for one day in June, 2019. There is no notice of when this waiting list will reopen.

Please note: According to the BCHA, "At least ONE household member MUST be a person with disabilities, age 18-61 AND must meet ONE of the following criteria

• Is currently homeless OR
• At risk of becoming homeless OR
• Is transitioning out of institutional or other segregated settings OR
• At serious risk of institutionalization"

To apply during the opening period, applicants were required to complete the online application.

Preferences have not yet been confirmed.

500 applicants were placed on the waiting list by random lottery.
