Public Housing Waiting List

The Athens Housing Authority (AHA) waiting list for Public Housing apartments is currently open. Applications are being accepted since at least April, 2016, until further notice.

If you meet the eligibility requirements, you may visit our office at 300 S. Rocksprings St. to obtain an application; or, call 706-425-5300 between 8 a.m. and 5 p.m., Monday – Friday to have an application mailed; or, click here to download a pre-application and email it to us at [email protected].

There are four ways to apply during the opening period:

1. Print the application online here. Select the link that says, "click here to download a pre-application," under the "Pre-Application" header.
2. Send an email to [email protected].
3. Pick up an application at the AHA office, located at 300 S. Rocksprings St., Athens, GA 30606, from 8:00 am until 5:00 pm ET.
4. Call the AHA at (706) 425-5300 to request an application by mail, from 8:00 am until 5:00 pm.

Once the pre-application has been completed, it can be either:

1. Hand delivered to the AHA at the address above.
2. Mailed to the AHA at the address above.
3. Faxed to the AHA at (706) 425-5299.
4. Scanned and emailed to the AHA at [email protected].

This waiting list has preferences, and they can be found on the pre-application.

Selected applicants will be placed on the waiting list by date and time the pre-application is received, weighed by order of preferences.
