Central Federal Senior and Disabled Public Housing Waiting List

This waiting list is for Senior and Disabled Public Housing rental housing assistance in Honolulu County, Hawaii.

The Hawaii Public Housing Authority (HPHA) last accepted Central Senior and Disabled Federal Public Housing waiting list applications for Studio apartments at Kupuna Home O‘Waialua from August 26, 2024, until September 1, 2024. There is no notice when this waiting list will reopen.

This waiting list was for the following property:

Please note: According to the HPHA "eligible applicants who are also at least 62 years old or a person with a disability."

Preferences

This waiting list had the following preferences: 

• Involuntary Displaced
  • by a disaster, government action, or action of housing owner for reasons beyond the applicant’s control and despite the applicant meeting conditions of occupancy (excluding increase in rent.
• Victim of Domestic Violence
  • who is participating in a program with case management through a domestic violence shelter, program or clearinghouse.
• Homeless person
  • participating in a federally or state funded homeless shelter or program and are in compliance with a social s

Selection Process

Selected applicants were placed on the waiting list by random lottery, weighed by order of preferences.

Application Method

To apply while the waitlist was open, applicants were required to complete the online application.
