The Housing Authority of Mount Sterling (HAMS) is currently accepting Public Housing waiting list pre-applications for families and senior/disabled households.The HAMS offers one Public Housing community with 224 units for families and senior/disabled households, ranging in size from studios to 4 bedrooms.To apply, visit the HAMS to pick up a pre-application, located at 335 Barnard Ave, Mt Sterling, KY 40353, from 8:00 am until 12:00 pm; 1:00 pm until 4:00 pm, Monday-Friday.Once the pre-application has been completed, it must be hand delivered to the address listed above, from 8:00 am until 11:00 am; 1:00 pm until 3:00 pm, on Tuesdays, Wednesdays, and Thursdays.Be sure to include these documents with the pre-application: Social Security Cards and birth certificates for all household members, photo IDs for all adult household members, proof of all income, and bank statements.The HAMS does have a preference for: Veterans, working families, and living in the county.For more information, call the HAMS office at (859) 498-5592, from 8:00 am until 12:00 pm; 1:00 pm until 4:00 pm, Monday-Friday.
