Eligibility
The Van Buren Housing Authority (VBHA) is currently accepting public housing waiting list applications for families and senior/disabled individuals.
The VBHA offers one public housing community with 90 units for families and senior/disabled individuals.
To apply for public housing, you must call the VBHA at 207-868-5441 to schedule an appointment to fill out an application during normal office hours.
Be sure to bring these documents with you to the appointment: birth certificates, social security cards, proof of all income, and photo IDs for all adult household members.
The VBHA does have a preference for applicants that live and/or work in Van Buren.
