Public Housing Waiting List

The  Mid-East Housing Authority (MEHA) is currently accepting Public Housing waiting list applications for families and senior/disabled individuals.
The MEHA offers three Public Housing communities with 193 units for families and senior/disabled individuals.
To apply, visit the MEHA to pick up an application, located at 809 Pennsylvania Avenue Washington, NC 27889, between the hours of 7:30 am and 5:30 pm, Monday-Thursday.
Once the application has been completed, it must be hand delivered to the address listed above on Tuesday or Thursday, between the hours of 7:30 am and 5:30 pm.
Be sure to include these documents with your application: birth certificates, social security cards, and photo IDs for all adult household members.
The MEHA does not have a preference point system: Your application is placed by date and time received.
