This waiting list is for Public Housing rental housing assistance in Wilson, North Carolina.
The Wilson Housing Authority (WHA) Public Housing waiting list for 3, 4, and 5-Bedroom apartments is currently open.
The WHA is accepting applications for this waiting list since at least until August 22, 2024.
There are two ways to apply during the opening period:
- Print the paper application online. Select the "Public Housing Application" link.
- Pick up an application Tuesday and Thursday, from 9:00 am until 4:00 pm ET, at one of the following locations:
- Forrest Road Homes-502 Parkview St.
- Whitfield Homes-633 E. Walnut St.
- E.B. Jordan Homes- 1800-H Fountain Dr.
- WHA Admin office- 301 E. Nash St.
Once the paper application has been completed, it must be either:
- Hand delivered to one of the locations noted above.
- Post marked by August 22, 2024; and mailed to the WHA office.
This waiting list has the following preferences:
- Involuntary Displacement
- Veterans
- Homeless
- Victims of Domestic Violence
- Working Family
- Defined as being self-employed, working an average of 20 hours or more a week for at least 11 months, or being seasonally employed for 2 years with the current employer and working 20 hours a week or more). Includes persons 62 years or older.
Applicants will be placed on the waiting list based on preferences and the order in which they were returned.
