Blair Housing Authority Public Housing Waiting List

The Blair Housing Authority (BHA) is currently accepting Public Housing waiting list pre-applications for senior/disabled/single households.


Please note: The Public Housing waiting list for families is currently closed.


The BHA offers 17 scattered site homes for families ranging in sizes from 2 to 3 bedrooms, and one apartment community with 83 units for seniors, disabled, or single adults, ranging in size from studios to 2 bedrooms.


There are two ways to apply:

1. Visit the BHA to pick up a pre-application, located at 758 S. 16th St.,  Blair, NE  68008, from 8:00 am until 4:30 pm, Monday-Thursday; and 8:00 am until 12:00 pm CT on Fridays.
2. Download a pre-application here, then print and complete.

Once the pre-application has been completed, it can be:

1. Mailed or hand delivered to the address listed above during the times listed.
2. Emailed to  [email protected].
3. Faxed to (402) 426-4820.

Be sure to include these documents with the pre-application: Social Security Cards for all household members, and government issued IDs for all adult household members, and proof of all income.


The BHA does have a preference for: Employed at least 30 hours per week, resident of the city of Blair, or a resident of the county of Washington.


Important note: Applicants who have been placed on the waiting list must inform the housing authority immediately if your application information changes (such as contact information, income, and household members). In the case that the office sends a notice that does not get returned, or if application information is out of date, your name may be terminated from the waiting list. Contact the housing authority to find out how to update application information.
