Crete Housing Authority Public Housing Waiting List

The Crete Housing Authority (CHA) is currently accepting Public Housing waiting list applications for senior/disabled households.Please note: The CHA does not offer a Public Housing program for families.The CHA offers one Public Housing community with 40 units for senior/disabled households, ranging in size from 1 to 2 bedrooms.There are two ways to apply:

1. Visit the CHA office to pick up an application, located at 1600 Grove Ave., Crete, NE 68333, from 9:00 am until 4:00 pm CT, Monday-Thursday.
2. Request to have an application mailed to you by calling (402) 826-2678 from 9:00 am until 4:00 pm, Monday-Thursday.

Once the application has been completed, it must be hand delivered to the address listed above from 9:00 am until 4:00 pm, Monday-Thursday.Be sure to include these documents with the application: Social Security Cards and birth certificates for all household members, photo IDs for all household members, proof of all income, and bank statements.The CHA does not have a preference.Important note: Applicants who have been placed on the waiting list must inform the housing authority immediately if your application information changes (such as contact information, income, and household members). In the case that the office sends a notice that does not get returned, or if application information is out of date, your name may be terminated from the waiting list.
