Deshler Housing Authority Public Housing Waiting List

The Deshler Housing Authority (DHA) is currently accepting Public Housing waiting list applications for families and senior/disabled households.The DHA offers one Public Housing community with 10 units for families, ranging in size from 2 to 3 bedrooms, and one Public Housing community with 20 units for senior/disabled households with one bedrooms.Please note: This waiting list has preferences. This means that applicants who qualify for these preferences will receive assistance before applicants who do not. Because of these preferences, applicants who do not qualify may have a longer wait to receive assistance.There are two ways to apply:

1. Visit the DHA office to pick up an application, located at 313 E. Willard Ave., Deshler, NE 68340, from 10:00 am until 4:00 pm CT, Monday-Thursday.
2. Download an application here, then print and complete.

Once the application has been completed, it can be mailed to P.O. Box 146, Deshler, NE 68340, or hand delivered to the address listed above, from 10:00 am until 4:00 pm, Monday-Thursday.Documents are not needed at this time.The DHA does have a preference for: Displaced by a natural disaster, displaced by government action, or victim of domestic violence.Important note: Applicants who have been placed on the waiting list must inform the housing authority immediately if your application information changes (such as contact information, income, and household members). In the case that the office sends a notice that does not get returned, or if application information is out of date, your name may be terminated from the waiting list.
