This waiting list is for Section 8 Project-Based Voucher rental housing assistance in Las Cruces, New Mexico.

The Mesilla Valley Public Housing Authority (MVPHA) Section 8 Project-Based Voucher waiting list for Single Room Occupancy (SRO) apartments at Desert Hope Apartments is currently closed. Applications were last accepted from May 3, 2021, until May 14, 2021. There is no notice of when this waiting list will reopen.

Please note: According to the MVPHA public notice, "This waitlist is only for homeless or chronically ill homeless individuals."

There were three ways to apply during the opening period: 

• Complete the online application.
• Call the MVPHA.
• In person at MVPHA.

Preferences have not yet been confirmed.

Selected applicants were placed on the waiting list by date and time the application is received.
