Elk City Housing Authority Public Housing Waiting List

The Elk City Housing Authority (ECHA) is currently accepting Public Housing waiting list pre-applications for families and senior/disabled households.The ECHA offers one Public Housing community with 143 units for families and senior/disabled households, ranging in size from studios to 4 bedrooms.There are two ways to apply:

1. Visit the ECHA to pick up a pre-application, located at 1510 W 9th St., Elk City, OK 73644 during normal office hours.
2. Request to have a pre-application mailed to you by calling (580) 225-0129 during normal office hours.

Once the pre-applicaiton has been completed, it can be mailed or hand delivered to the address listed above.Be sure to include these documents with the pre-application: Social Security Cards and birth certificates for all household members, photo IDs for all adult household members, and proof of all income.The ECHA does have a preference for victims of domestic violence.Applicants will receive a confirmation number upon submitting the pre-application. It is important to keep that number in a safe, easy to access place. It will be needed any time when referencing your pre-application with the housing authority.The current wait time for Public Housing is approximately three months or less.For more information, call the ECHA office at (580) 225-0129 during normal office hours.
