Lancaster, South Carolina Housing Choice Voucher Waiting List

The Housing Authority of Lancaster (HAL) Section 8 Housing Choice Voucher waiting list is closed.

The HAL last accepted Section 8 HCV applications for this waiting list for one day only on January 20, 2022. There is no notice of when this waiting list will reopen.

There were two ways to apply during the opening period:

1. Print the paper application.
2. Pick up an application from the HAL office.

Once the application was completed, it was returned to the HAL office.

This waiting list had the following preferences:

• Lancaster County Elderly and Disabled Persons/Family ( 4 Points)
• Lancaster County Families (3 Points)
• Lancaster County Single Members (2 Points)
• Non-Lancaster County Persons (1 Point)

It was not known how applicants will be placed on the waiting list.
