This waiting list is for Section 8 Housing Choice Voucher rental housing assistance in Hill and Somervell County, Texas.

The Waco Housing Authority and Affiliates (WHAA) last accepted Section 8 housing choice voucher waiting list applications for Hill and Somervell County from June 5, 2023, until June 8, 2023. There is no notice when this waiting list will reopen.

To apply during the opening period, applicants were required to complete the online application.

This waiting list had the following preferences:

• Veteran
• Employment
• Elderly
• Disabled and Handicapped (Head of Household)
• Job Training/School
• Domestic Violence
• Federal Preference (person (s) displaced by a federally declared disaster.)
• Homeless as defined by HUD or McKinney - Vento definition of Homeless
• Residency Preference

Selected applicants were placed on the waiting list by date and time the application was received, weighed by order of preferences.
