Liberal Housing Authority Public Housing Waiting List

The Liberal Housing Authority (LHA) is currently accepting Public Housing waiting list pre-applications for families and senior/disabled individuals.The LHA offers one Public Housing community with 99 units for families and senior/disabled individuals, ranging in size from 1 to 3 bedrooms.There are two ways to apply:

1. Visit the LHA to pick up a pre-application, located at 1401 N New York Avenue, Liberal, KS 67901, from 9:00 am until 12:00 pm, and 1:00 pm until 5:00 pm CT, Monday-Friday.
2. Request to have a pre-application mailed to you by calling 620-624-5501, from 9:00 am until 12:00 pm, and 1:00 pm until 5:00 pm, Monday-Friday.

Once the pre-application has been completed, it must be hand delivered to the address listed above, from 9:00 am until 12:00 pm, and 1:00 pm until 5:00 pm, Monday-Friday.Be sure to include these original documents with the pre-application: Social Security Cards, birth certificates, proof of all income, asset verification, photo IDs for all adult household members, and bank statements.The LHA does not have a preference.Qualified applicants will be placed by the date and time the pre-application is received.For more information, the LHA can be reached by calling 620-624-5501 from 9:00 am until 12:00 pm, and 1:00 pm until 5:00 pm, Monday-Friday.
