This waiting list is for Section 8 Housing Choice Voucher rental housing assistance in San Luis Obispo County, California.

The Housing Authority of San Luis Obispo (HASLO) Section 8 Housing Choice Voucher interest list is currently closed. It was last open from August 12, 2024 to August 15, 2024.

To apply during the opening period,applicants must have applied using the online application here. Applications were not provided or accepted in person or by fax, mail, or email.

Please note: According to the HASLO public notice, "For those with limited computer access, you can call SLO Cal Careers, 805-286-8530, to schedule a time to use their computers at 3450 Broad Street, #103A, San Luis Obispo.  Public libraries also offer access to computers."

The maximum income limit for each household size are as follows:

• 1 Person $26,750 | 5 Persons $41,300
• 2 Persons $30,600 | 6 Persons $44,350
• 3 Persons $34,400 | 7 Persons $47,400
• 4 Persons $38,200 | 8 Persons $52,720

This waiting list had the following preferences:

• Applicants who live or work in the County of San Luis Obispo; and
• Eligible U.S. Veterans.

250 applicants were placed on the interest list by random lottery, weighed by order of preferences.
