Mesa County, Colorado Section 8 Housing Choice Voucher Waiting List

The Grand Junction Housing Authority (GJHA) last accepted Section 8 Housing Choice Voucher waiting list applications from the earliest confirmed open date of February 23, 2024, until further notice. There is no notice when this waiting list will reopen.

There were two ways to apply while the waitlist was open:

1. Complete the online application.
2. Print the paper application.

Once the application was completed, it was to be mailed or hand delivered to the GJHA office.

This waiting list had the following preferences:

• Involuntarily displaced by government action
• TBRA-qualified families
• Disabled, elderly (62+), families with persons with disabilities, single parent with dependent children under 6 years old and work 20 hours per week, families with dependent children over 6 years old and working 30 hours a week living, working, attending school in Mesa County.
• Families with dependant children, not working the minimum # of number of hours per week living, working in Mesa County.
• Families with no dependent children, SIngles and all others living outside Mesa County.

Selected applicants were placed on the waiting list by date and time the application was received, by order of preferences.
