Multi-County, Illinois Section 8 Housing Choice Voucher Waiting List

This waiting list is for Section 8 Housing Choice Voucher rental housing assistance in Alexander, Bond, Clinton, Coles, Crawford, Douglas, Fayette, Jackson, Jasper, Livingston, Macoupin, Massac, Menard, Monroe, Moultrie, Perry, Pulaski, Randolph, Scott, and Wabash County; and the City of Casey, Illinois.

The Menard County Housing Authority (MCHA) Section 8 Housing Choice Voucher waiting list is currently closed. Applications were last accepted from February 15, 2021, until March 1, 2021. There is no notice of when this waiting list will reopen.

To apply during the opening period, applicants were required to complete the online application.

This waiting list had the following preferences:

• A residency preference will be given to applicants who currently live, work or have been hired to work in any county in our jurisdiction. A Veteran’s preference will also be applied for those who qualify

Selected applicants were placed on the waiting list by random lottery, weighed by order of preferences.
