St. Charles Parish, Louisiana Section 8 Housing Choice Voucher Waiting List

This waiting list is for Section 8 Housing Choice Voucher rental housing assistance in St. Charles Parish, Louisiana.

The St. Charles Parish Housing Authority (SCPHA) last accepted Section 8 Housing Choice Voucher waiting list applications from July 5, 2023, until July 7, 2023. There is no notice when this waiting list will reopen.

To apply during the opening period, applicants were required to complete the online application.

The maximum income limits for each household size were as followed:

• 1 Person $28,700 | 5 Persons $44,300
• 2 Persons $32,800 | 6 Persons $47,600
• 3 Persons $36,900 | 7 Person $50,850
• 4 Persons $41,000 | 8 Persons $54,150

This waiting list had the following preferences:

• Any family that has been terminated from its HCV program due to insufficient program funding.
• Elderly
• Disabled.
• Any family that is a resident of the Parish.
• Working, to qualify for this exemption the applicant must work a minimum of 20 hours per week.
• Victims of domestic violence, dating violence, sexual assault, or stalking.
• Homeless.

Selected applicants were placed on the waiting list by date and time the application was received, by order of preferences.
