Yorktown Area, New York Section 8 Housing Choice Voucher Waiting List

This waiting list is for Section 8 Housing Choice Voucher rental housing assistance in Bedford, Buchanan, Cortlandt, Croton–on-Hudson, Mount Kisco, North Salem, Ossining, Peekskill, Somers, and Yorktown, New York; and parts of Carmel, Lake Peekskill, Mahopac, and Putnam Valley, New York, which lie in close proximity of the Westchester County and Putnam County line.

The Town of Yorktown Section 8 Housing Choice Voucher waiting list is closed.

The Town of Yorktown Section 8 Housing Choice Voucher Program last accepted applications for this waiting list from April 28, 2022, until April 29, 2022. Prior to that, the Yorkttown Section 8 waiting list opened in 2020 and 2016. There is no notice of when this waiting list will reopen.

To apply during the opening period, applicants were required to complete the online application. Applications were only accepted online. 

The maximum income limits for each household size were as follows:

• 1 Person $44,650 | 5 Persons $68,850
• 2 Persons $51,000 | 6 Persons $73,950
• 3 Persons $57,400 | 7 Persons $79,050
• 4 Persons $63,750 | 8 Persons $84,150

There were no preferences.

500 applicants were placed on the waiting list by random lottery.
