Cincinnati and Hamilton County, Ohio Mainstream Section 8 Housing Choice Voucher Waiting List

This waiting list is for Mainstream Section 8 Housing Choice Voucher rental housing assistance in Cincinnati and Hamilton County, Ohio.

The Cincinnati Metropolitan Housing Authority (CMHA) Mainstream Section 8 Housing Choice Voucher waiting list is currently closed. Applications were last accepted from October 28, 2020, until further notice. There is no notice of when this waiting list will reopen.

Please note: According to the CMHA, "The household must include a non-elderly person age 18 to 61 with disabilities."

To apply during the opening period, applicants were required to complete the online application.

This waiting list had the following preferences:

• Transitioning out of institutions or facilities 
• At risk of institutionalization
• Currently experiencing homelessness
• Previously experienced homelessness
• At risk of becoming homeless 
• Currently in permanent supportive housing or rapid rehousing

Selected applicants were placed on the waiting list by random lottery, weighed by order of preferences.
