Killeen, Texas Section 8 Housing Choice Voucher Waiting List

The Killeen Housing Authority (KHA) Section 8 Housing Choice Voucher waiting list is currently closed. It was last open for five days in January 2017; and before that in August 2014. There is no notice of when this waiting list will reopen.


Killeen, TX is about 70 miles north of Austin, TX.



To apply during the opening period, applicants were required to complete the online application.


This waiting list has the following preferences: Live locally, elderly, disabled, working family, veteran, displaced by federally declared natural disaster.



Applicants were placed on the waiting list by date and time the application is received, by order of preferences.


As of January 2017, the approximate wait time to receive a voucher is 3-5 years.
