Aspire at Church Street Section 8 Project-Based Voucher Waiting List

This waiting list is for Section 8 Project-Based Voucher rental housing assistance in Norfolk, Virginia.

The Norfolk Redevelopment and Housing Authority (NRHA) last accepted Section 8 Project-Based Voucher/Low-Income Housing Tax Credit waiting list applications for Aspire at Church Street Station Apartments from April 1, 2024, until May 16, 2024.

Please note: According to the NRHA "for former Tidewater Garden residents only who relocated out of the community on or after February 28, 2019."

There were two ways to apply while the waitlist was open:

1. Complete the online application.
2. Print the paper application.

Once the paper application was completed, it was to be either:

1. Mailed to Norfolk Redevelopment and Housing Authority.
2. Hand delivered or dropped off to the NRHA office.

This waiting list had the following preferences:

• Residents of Norfolk
  • includes families employed in Norfolk, seniors, and those with disabilities (20 points)
• Working
  • includes head of household or spouse or sole member who is age 62 or older or is a person with disabilities or where the head of the household is the primary caregiver for a household member with a disability. Minimum 15 work hours per week for non-elderly and applicants without disabilities. (10 points)
• Veterans (5 points)

It was not known how applicants were placed on the waiting list, weighed by order of preferences.
