Hidalgo County, Texas Section 8 Housing Choice Voucher Waiting List

This waiting list is for Section 8 Housing Choice Voucher rental housing assistance in Hidalgo County, Texas.

The Housing Authority of the County of Hidalgo (HACH) last accepted Section 8 Housing Choice Voucher waiting list applications from July 10, 2023, until August 31, 2023. There is no notice when this waiting list will reopen.

There were two ways to apply during the opening period: 

1. Pick up an application from the HACH office.
2. Print the paper application.

Once the application was completed, it was to be submitted in person to the HACH office.

Please note: According to HCHA, "Applications will not be accepted by fax or mail."

Preferences have not been confirmed.

Selected applicants were placed on the waiting list by date and time the application was received.
